When Will Cyprus
Produce Gas?
Cyprus is expected to begin gas production toward the end of this decade. Cronos (Block 6) targets the earliest first gas in 2028 via Egypt, followed by Aphrodite around 2030-31 and Block 10 around 2033. This page tracks key milestones and expected timelines as of mid-2026.
Project Status Overview
Aphrodite
Block 12 · Chevron
Development plan approved February 2025; FEED underway since December 2025. Egypt initialed a 15-year term sheet in April 2026 for 100% of output via a new pipeline to Port Said. FID targeted late 2026-2027, first gas around 2030-31.
